Once upon a time, in ancient Greece, there was a powerful god named Zeus. He ruled over all the other gods on Mount Olympus and controlled the weather, bringing thunder and lightning to the earth below.
One day, a mortal prince named Narcissus was born. He was so handsome that many people fell in love with him, but he only had eyes for himself. He would spend hours gazing at his own reflection in a pool of water, and he would never love anyone else.
The gods were angry with Narcissus for his vanity and pride, so they punished him by making him fall in love with his own reflection. He was doomed to stare at his reflection for all eternity, never able to leave the side of the pool.
But, Narcissus' punishment became a lesson that helped others to be humble and not too much in love with themselves.
The end.
